The book was prepared under the initiative of the UK Groundwater forums steering comittee: Dr Andrew Skinner (Environment Agency); Professor Stephen Foster (British Geological Survey/NERC); Brian Connorton (Water Services Association); Jack Carnell (Water Companies Association); Dr Rex Agg (Foundation for Water Research); Ian Fox (Scottish Environment Protection Agency); Des Lyness (Sniffer/DoE Northern Ireland); Ian Galer (British Geological Survey) and Bob Shearer (UK Groundwater Forum Secretariat).
It draws on the expertise of many contributors from all sectors of the groundwater community. Production of this book was funded by UK Water Industry Researcg Ltd, The Environment Agency, The Natural Enviromental Research Council and the Scotish and Northern Ireland Forum for Environmental Research.
