Microfossil Investigation Samples

These samples are specially chosen and processed for viewing microfossils. They come fully labelled in glass jars with screw lid. Each jar contains around 30g which will yield a high number of microfossils. They have been pre-sieved to give the most productive sample using the highest quality Endecotts sieves, grades given below. We are currently expanding this range, please visit regularly for new samples.

Stratiotes websterii, (Water Soldier seed)

This lovely seed comes from Hamstead, Isle of Wight, and is of the Early Oligocene age. They are approx. 5mm by 2.5mm and come in special microfossil slide. It is recommended that you use a microscope to view this fossil.
